Frances Tyska is a photographer based in New York.
Her documentation work focuses on the relationship between objects, images, and the spaces they inhabit, working across exhibition documentation, interiors, and site-specific installations. In an image-saturated environment, documentation becomes both a record and an extension of the work itself.
She has worked with galleries, artists, and institutions, photographing work in situ. Through this, she has developed an approach that emphasizes spatial context, material detail, and the conditions in which work is encountered.
She studied at The Cooper Union.
